Picture of the Rose Window in York Minster

This image was taken on a very hot and clear blue sky day at York Minster. The light came right in the afternoon and the whole of the South Transept came alive with the light. The Rose window at the top is an enormous size in reality you really cant get a real idea until you get up close to it. The intricate stained glass designs that were so badly damaged in a fire many years ago can only really be seen from the inside. Once close up to the Rose window you will understand.
